- It is basically a webinar hosted by Invest in India.
- This forum allowed leading global companies dealing with food processing sector and various policymakers from six Indian states namely Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh to interact with each other.
- In order to make India the next global investment hub in terms of the food sector, a discussion was made at the forum.
- The participants discussed critical aspects for investment decisions ranging from policy incentives, industrial zones, infrastructure and special facilitation services.
- GOI has decided to form an Empowered Group of Secretaries (EGoS) and Project Development Cell (PDC) in ministries and departments to boost domestic as well as foreign investments in the food processing sector.
