Current Context: Punjab Government has launched a mobile app called ‘Ghar Ghar Nigrani’.
- The app is launched to undertake house to house surveillance in order to sustain the spread of coronavirus.
- Ghar Ghar Nigrani app is an initiative of the health department, which is comprised to ASHA workers and community volunteers which carry out the testing process for COVID-19.
- With the help of this app, survey of entire rural and urban population of Punjab above 30 years of age will be done.
- Also, people suffering from co-morbidity and influenza-like illness in any age group will be tested under the survey.
