Current Context: The State government of Maharashtra has announced the launching of ‘Maha Parwana’ which is an investment initiative for the industrial sector in the state.
- The ‘Maha Parwana’ is an initiative to attract fresh investment in industries with an aim to provide incentives and single-window clearance system for project execution in the state.
- As per this initiative, the companies with investment proposals of Rs 50 crore or more will get relaxation on getting clearance.
- For this purpose, the respective companies will have to provide an assurance letter of ‘Maha Parwana’ to the multiple departments.
- Thus the companies will have to apply at Maharashtra Industry, Trade and Investment Facilitation Cell (MAITRI) which is a single-window system and thus will get online permission of clearance within 48 hours.
