Current Context: Government of Maharashtra has launched ‘Project Platina’ which is the world’s largest plasma therapy trials for COVID-19 patients.
‘Project Platina’-- Maharashtra
  • In order to develop this project, the state government approved Rs 16.56 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
  • Under ‘Project Platina’ the critical patients of COVID-19 will receive two doses of 200 ml of plasma recovered from COVID-19 patients.
  • The treatment under this project will be given free of cost.
  • The trails of this plasma therapy will be conducted in 17 medical colleges across Maharashtra.
