Current Context: Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Communications and Law and Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad launched a National program for youth in India called as ‘Responsible AI for Youth’.
- He also launched an India’s National Artificial Intelligence (AI) portal called www.ai.gov.in which is developed by National e-governance division of Ministry of Electronics and IT and NASSCOM as IT partner.
- www.ai.gov.in Portal: The portal is a one-stop-shop for a digital solution for AI, its resources and its application in various fields. The portal will also guide institutes and companies with AI queries and will share documents, case studies, research reports related to AI.
- Responsible AI for Youth: The national program will provide a platform to India’ youth and will empower them to inculcate AI-based skills and learn AI tools in order to make them digitally strong and ready for Digital future of the nation. Students belonging from class 8th to 12th are eligible for the program and will be able to attend online training sessions based on the training of AI.
