Current Context: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed a disinfection unit called ‘Ultra Swachh’.
- The disinfection unit will help to disinfect materials like electronic equipments, fabrics, PPE kits etc.
- The ‘Ultra Swachh’ follows International Standards of Industries, Personal and Environmental Safety.
- It is based on two different variants namely Ozonated Space and Trinetra Technology.
- For disinfection, it makes use of the oxidative process and the ozone sealant technology in it ensures the trapping of ozone for the necessary disinfection cycle.
