Current Context: ‘BIS-Care’ is a Mobile App of Bureau of Indian Standards.
- The app is launched by Union Minister of Corporate Affairs, Food, Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan.
- Along with this app, Standardization, Conformity Assessment and Training Portals were launched.
- The BIS-Care app will help consumers in checking and verifying the authenticity of the ISI mark and hallmark on the products and goods they purchase.
- The app will also help them to lodge a complaint if any regarding the fake authentication marks on goods and products.
