Current Context: The Union Human Resource Development Minister and Union Health and Family Welfare Minister has launched Drug Discovery Hackathon 2020(DDH2020).
- DDH2020 is the first national initiative in the support of the Drug Discovery Process.
- The objective behind this hackathon is to identify drug candidates against SARS-CoV-2 in-silico drug discovery.
- It is basically a joint initiative of Ministry of HRD, AICTE, CSIR, CDAC, MyGov, Schrodinger and ChemAxon.
- The participation from professionals, researchers and students from various fields associated with this is expected in the hackathon.
