Current Context: All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has signed MoU with Delhi Police.
- The MoU is signed to offer Ayurveda Preventive and Promotive Health Services to the police and their families at their residential colonies in Delhi.
- The Ayurveda services will be offered through a mobile unite which is named as ‘Dhanwantari Rath’.
- ‘Dhanwantari Rath’ is a health care service providing mobile unit which consist of a team of doctors who will be visiting colonies of Delhi police on a regular interval basis.
- ‘Dhanwantari Rath’ is comprised of ayurvedic and homoeopathic medicines, vitamin based medicines, testing equipments along with pulse oximeter.
- Along with this mobile unit, a Police Wellness Centers is also formed by AIIA.
- Both ‘Dhanwantari Rath’ and Police Wellness Centers will offer Ayurveda Preventive and Promotive Health Services to the police and their families at their residential colonies in Delhi.
- AIIA is an autonomous institute which comes under AYUSH Ministry.
- Delhi Police has also formed joint venture named as ‘AYURAKSHA’ of AIIA, in order to maintain the health of COVID-19 warriors.
