Current Context: Government of Rajasthan has launched Indira Rasoi Yojana. The scheme will be initiated from 20th August 2020 in the state.
- The aim of this scheme is to achieve the goal of ‘No Hunger No Sleep’.
- Under this scheme, the poor hungry people will be provided with nutritious food at Rs 8 per plate.
- The yojana aims to run 358 kitchens in 213 urban districts of the country.
- Under the Indira Rasoi Yojana, the poor hungry people will be provided with a menu of 100 grams of pulses, 100 grams veggies, 250 grams chapattis and pickles. This yojana will prove benficial to 4.78 crore of poor hungry people in India.
