- The infrastructure is developed to conduct transportation of fly ash (coal combustion product) to cement plants at low cost.
- NTPC has developed infra in order to achieve 100% utilization of fly ash from power plants.
- The first rake of 59 BOXN railway wagon which carried 3450 MT of fly ash was flagged off from NTPC’s Rihand Super Thermal Power Stations for ACC cement manufacturing plant, Tikaria, Uttar Pradesh.
- The infrastructure will provide an efficient and safe transfer of fly ash from a remote location to the destination centre where it is to be consumed.
