Current Context: Department of Defence which comes under the Ministry of Defence, IIT Kanpur and Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has signed a tripartite MoU.
- The MoU is signed to conduct Predictive Analysis of Public Grievances.
- Under this MoU IIT Kanpur will be developing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) methods.
- The AI and ML techniques will help to conduct a predictive analysis of public grievances which are received on the web based CPGRAMS (Centralized Public Grievances Redress and Monitoring System) which are related to ministry of defence (MoD).
- The data uploaded related to public grievances in respect to MoD will be provided by DARPG to IIT Kanpur so that the institute will perform analysis using AI and ML techniques.
- This MoU will help Ministry of Defence to identify the cause and nature of grievances and to have systematic changes in their system and policies.
