Current Context: India-Brazil- South Africa (IBSA) Foreign Ministers Meeting was held virtually.
- India was represented by external affairs Minister S Jaishankar, South Africa was represented by Grace Naledi Mandisa Pandor, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Republic of SA and Brazil was represented by Fabio Marzano, Secretary for National Sovereignty and Citizenship of the Federation Republic of Brazil.
- In the meet, the ministers discussed the issue related to security, peace, counter-terrorism, trading systems, climate change and sustainable development
- They assured to offer cooperation with international organisations such as African Union Peace and Security Council, United Nations etc.
- They exchanged their views to boost cooperation in IBSA and appreciated the work done by IBSA to eradicate poverty and hunger issues, especially during COVID-19 pandemic situation.
- The ministers adopted and released the IBSA Joint Ministerial Statement on the Reform of UN Security Council.
