Ministry of AYUSH signs MoU with Ministry of Women and Child Development

An MoU is signed between Ministry of AYUSH and Ministry of Women and Child Development to control malnutrition in India. 

• Both the ministries will work to combat malnutrition under POSHAN Abhiyan. Thus they will integrate AYUSH into POSHAN Abhiyan and will control malnutrition through Ayurveda, Yoga and AYUSH mechanisms.
• Both the ministries will adopt the time-tested and scientifically proven health solution, probably AYUSH solutions to control and eradicate malnutrition among children and womens of India
• Under this MoU, medicinal, nutri gardens and yoga programmes will be developed at anganwadi centers
• They will frame the baseline data in nutritional status for target population
• Also, #Ayush4Aganwadi awareness campaign will be launched by both ministries under Digital India initiative
