Current Context: The Union Territory has introduced an online portal named as SPARROW which stands for Smart Performance Appraisal Report Recording Online Window.
- The portal will be launched for Administrative Services Officers of Jammu and Kashmir.
- The portal will be responsible to bring transparency, by avoiding loss of appraisal reports (APR) during any transition process.
- The portal is said to be beneficial to around 1289 officers and will ensure better monitoring and completion of performance appraisals of JKAS officer within time.
- With the help of SPARROW portal, an applicant can submit APR from any location at any time.
- To build this project, J&K e-governance agency will work in collaboration with National Informatics Centre and General Administration Department.
