- CSIR Technologies for Rural Development was launched on the occasion of 40th Foundation Day of CSIR-NISTADS (CSIR- National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies).
- The CSIR Technologies for Rural Development is the joint initiative of CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research), IIT Delhi, UBA (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan) and VIBHA (Vijnana Bharti).
