Current Context: Agnibaaz Division (41 Artillery Division) of Indian Army organized an exercise named as Suraksha Kavach.
Exercise Suraksha Kavach
  • The Suraksha Kavach Exercise is the joint exercise of Maharashtra Police and Indian Army. 
  • The exercise was conducted in Lulla Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra. 
  • The aim of this exercise is to harmonise anti-terror responses. 
  • In this exercise Indian Army and Maharashtra Police cooperated, coordinated and streamlined their drills and procedures.
  • The Suraksha Kavach Exercise was conducted to harmonize the procedures of Indian Army and Maharashtra Police in order to activate the QRTs (Quick Reaction Teams) to counter any terrorist actions. 
  • QRTSs, Army’s Bomb disposal teams, Anti-Terrorism Squad, QRTs of Maharashtra Police and Dog Squads participated in this exercise.
