Frontier Technologies CIC—By NITI Aayog and Amazon Web Services

Current Context: National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog in partnership with Amazon Web Services launched First of its kind, a Frontier Technologies Cloud Innovation Center (CIC).

• The Frontier Technologies CIC is developed to address societal challenges through digital technology. 
• It will address the societal challenges related to agriculture, healthcare and skill development.
• This is the first Cloud Innovation Center in India and 12th Cloud Innovation Center in the whole world.
• This Cloud Innovation Center will allow the innovators and startups to make use of emerging technologies like AI, IoT, Robotics and Blockchain to develop cloud-centric digital innovations. 
• Thus under this Frontier Technologies Cloud Innovation Center (CIC) platform, local enterprises, startups, researchers and universities will perform experiments and will build prototypes on AWS Cloud.
