- This hackathon on the circular economy will be held on 7th and 8th Dec 2020.
- The hackathon will be based on four themes: (a) Innovation in reducing packaging waste (b) Innovation in food supply chains avoiding waste (c) Creating opportunities for plastic waste reduction (d) Recycling critical energy metals and e-waste.
- The aim behind conducting this hackathon is to address the issues and challenges being faced by the circular economy.
- Under this hackathon, various innovative solutions will arise which will help to reduce the problems related to eliminating and reusing waste.
- This will result in making the economy less resource-intensive and will provide a path to grow the economy in an ecological manner.
- Students, experts, startups and MSMEs from India and Australia will be developing innovative technology-based solutions which will help to boost the circular economy of both nations.
- Two winners for each theme from each country will be awarded in an award ceremony which will be held on 11th Dec 2020.
