Current Context: Indian Navy test fired the Anti-Ship Missile (AShM) from INS Kora in the Bay of Bengal.

• The Anti-Ship Missile (AShM) successfully hit the target with precise accuracy form maximum range.
• The Anti-Ship Missile (AShM), which is a guided missile and is designed for use against ships and large boats.
• The INS Kora is Indian Navy’s Kora-class guided missile corvette, which was commissioned to Indian Navy in 1998.
• The INS Kora is equipped with Kh-35 anti-ship missiles.
