- Current Context: Union Education Minister virtually launched ‘KAPILA’ Kalam Program to mark the Intellectual Property (IP) Literacy and Awareness campaign
- The ‘KAPILA’ Kalam Program signifies ‘Kalam Program for Intellectual Property and Awareness Campaign’
- It is launched to mark the 89th Birth anniversary of former President and Scientist Late. Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.
- Through this KAPILA Kalam Program, GOI will spread the awareness and importance of patenting and inventions
- Also, it is decided to mark 15th Oct to 23rd Oct 2020 as ‘Intellectual Property Literacy Week’
- During this week, awareness about the IP and its process to apply will be promoted via various activities like debates, posters, quiz and community meets
