‘MSME Prerana’—Indian Bank’s Business Mentoring Programme

Current Context: Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, launched the programme named as ‘MSME Prerana’. 
‘MSME Prerana’—Indian Bank’s Business Mentoring Programme
  • The programme is an online business mentoring programme for MSMEs.
  • The programme is developed by Indian Bank and Poornatha & Co.
  • ‘MSME Prerana’ is the first-of-its-kind initiative by a bank for MSME sector. 
  • The programme will help to develop the businesses in the areas like Business skills, Communications, Human Resources etc.
  • The program will offer inputs in simple formats and in local languages for MSMEs. Total 12 sessions will be offered under this programme.
  • Poornatha & Co. will co duct the sessions related to managerial and financial skills and banking related sessions will be conducted by Indian Bank. 
  • On completion of these courses, the business firm will be granted with a certificate from Indian Bank, Poornatha & Co. and MADE (Michigan Academy for Developing Entrepreneurs), United States. 
  • This programme will offer MSME with complete knowledge related to Loan application, management of cash flow, government schemes etc.
