SLINEX 2020 Naval Exercise

Current Context: Indian Navy and Sri Lankan Navy jointly conducts annual joint exercise named as SLINEX 2020.

SLINEX 2020 Naval Exercise

The 8th SLINEX 2020 has begun from 19 Oct 2020 and will be held till 21st Oct 2020.
The naval exercise is conducted off the Trincomalee coast.
Indian Navy is represented by: Indigenously built ASW Corvettes Kamorata and Kiltan under the command of Rear Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Flag officer Commanding Eastern Fleet. Also, Indian Navy Advanced Light Helicopter, Chetak Helicopter and Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft will be participating in this exercise.
Sri Lankan Navy is represented by: SLN Ships Sayura and Gajabhau and will be led by Rear Admiral Bandara Jayathilaka, Flag Officer Commanding Naval Fleet in Sri Lankan Navy.
