ISRO launched all Weather Earth Observation Satellite & 9 Customer Satellites

Current Context: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched all-weather Earth Observation Satellite, EOS-01 using PSLV-C49 and nine customer satellites.

• The launching took place from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
• Also, the launch vehicle carried on board an experimental satellite from Lithuania, four marine-based application satellites from Luxembourg, and four remote sensing application based satellites from the United States.
• The all-weather Earth Observation Satellite, EOS-01 will be used for agriculture, forestry, and disaster management support.
