Mission COVID Suraksha

Current Context: Union Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman launched the Mission COVID Suraksha.

• For this mission, the GOI has inducted Rs 900 crores.
• The inducted amount will be utilized for the research and development of COVID-19 vaccines in India. 
• The Mission COVID Suraksha is one of the parts of a stimulus package of worth Rs 2.65 lakh crores. 
• Also, FM made an announcement to induct Rs 10,000 crores for PM Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana with an aim to increase employment.
