Current Context: The HDFC Bank has launched a campaign called ‘Mooh Band Rakho’.
‘Mooh Band Rakho Campaign’—HDFC Bank
  • The ‘Mooh Band Rakho’ campaign is launched to create and spread awareness on cyber fraud and ways to avoid them. 
  • The campaign is launched on the occasion of International Fraud Awareness Week 2020, which is observed from 15th Nov to 21st Nov 2020.
  • The campaign aims to protect every citizen from cyber frauds. 
  • This campaign is important because, due to COVID-19 pandemic, every individual is making use of online banking transactions in order to maintain social distancing and to stay protected from getting infected with coronavirus
  • The ‘Mooh Band Rakho’ will spread the awareness about not to share card details like CVV (Card Verification Value) number, the Expiry date of cards, OTP details, login IDs of net banking to anyone.
  • Initially, the bank launched this campaign to fight against COVID-19, but now the bank has extended the aim of this campaign to fight against cyber frauds. 
  • In this regards, the bank will also be conducting 1000 workshops in the next four months across the country to spread awareness about cyber frauds and how to stay protected from them.
