Current Context: The Haryana Government has launched ‘Project Air Care’.

‘Project Air Care’-- Haryana

This project is launched with an aim to combat air pollution in Gurgaon.
Under this project, 65 Wing Augmentation Air Purifying Units (WAYU) will be set up having high AQI (Air Quality Indices) which will help to improve the quality of air in Gurgaon.
The air purifiers are developed by CSIR-NEERI and by IIT-Bombay.
The ‘Project Air Care’ is the joint initiative of Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and by GSK.
