‘DakPay’--- By IPPB

Current Context: The Department of Posts (DoP) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) together launched 'DakPay', which is a new digital payment app.

• It is launched with an aim to provide Digital Financial inclusion in India. 
• ‘DakPay’ is the complete solution for digital financial and assisted banking services being provided by IPPB.
• It supports every usage of the customer right from sending money (Domestic Money Transfers - DMT), Scanning of QR code and making payment for services/merchants (Virtual debit card and with UPI), enabling cashless ecosystem through biometrics, providing interoperable banking services to the customers of any bank (AePS) and Utility Bill Payment services.
• ‘DakPay’ was launched by Union Minister for Communications, Electronics & IT and Law & Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad.
