  • The MoU was signed by the Ministry of Steel of GOI with Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan’s Government.
  • The partnership will lead to boost India’s steel sector by increasing the manufacturing and quality of steel produced.
  • Both the nations also agreed to launch ‘India –Japan Steel Dialogue’ at the joint secretary level.
  • They will jointly work to increase trading and investment activities in the steel sector which will lead to achieving sustainable growth.
