India and Qatar To Setup Energy Task Force

Current Context: India and Qatar has decided to establish a task force on energy.

• The decision is taken to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector. 
• The Energy Task Force will help to identify specific projects in India’s energy sector for investments from Qatar. 
• The task force will be represented by the vice president of Qatar petroleum and senior officer from petroleum Ministry of India.
• The decision was jointly taken through a telephone conversation held Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan, and Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO Qatar Petroleum.
