ISRO Signed MoU with IIT Banaras Hindu University

Current Context: The ISRO has entered into MoU with IIT Banaras Hindu University.

• The MoU is signed to build Regional Academic Centre for Space (RAC-S) at the campus of the institute.
• This RAC-S will help to conduct research activities in the space sector. 
• Under this MoU, IIT Banaras Hindu University will be the project monitoring unit for RAC-S.
• The institute will conduct R&D in science and technology in the states of UP, MP and Chhattisgarh. 
• Institute will be offering short term research projects to BTech and MTech students and long term projects to PhD scholars. 
• The institute will also be responsible to conduct training, enhance capacity building and conference activities.
• The RAC-S will help ISRO to promote space sector in UP, MP and Chhattisgarh.
