Current Context: The Indian Navy signed MoU with Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS).
MoU Signed Between Indian Navy and INCOIS
  • They have entered into MoU to share ocean services, data and expertise in operational oceanography. 
  • The MoU was signed by Dr T.Srinivasa Kumar, Director of INCOIS and Commodore AA Abhyankar, Head of Indian Navy’s Oceanology and Meteorology Directorate.
  • The MoU will allow future interactions and professional exchange of data between the Indian Navy and INCOIS.

    • INCOIS: This entity provides informational data and services to society, industry and governmental agencies. Its HQ is in Hyderabad, Telangana and it comes under Ministry of Earth Science
