Water Quality Testing and Innovation Challenge

Current Context: The Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in partnership with National Jal Jeevan Mission launched the ‘Water Quality Testing Innovation

Challenge’. 

• The ‘Water Quality Testing Innovation Challenge’ is launched to develop portable devices for testing the quality of drinking water.
• The challenge will help to develop a portable device which can be used in each household to check the quality of drinking water.
• The portable device will also be useful to the officials working in water departments to test the water quality from water sources at various locations and accordingly develop remedies to address water contamination issues.
• The startups, MSMEs, innovators and corporate entities can participate in this challenge.
