Current Context: The 2nd edition of ‘Sea Vigil-21’ commenced from 12th Jan 2021.
2nd Edition of ‘Sea Vigil-21’
  • It is the biennial pan-India coastal defence exercise which is conducted to assess India’s preparedness for coastal defence and maritime security.
  • The ‘Sea Vigil-21’ is also a build-up towards TROPEX (Theatre-level Readiness Operational Exercise). The TROPEX is conducted every two years by the Indian Navy. 
  • Indian Navy, Customs, Coast Guard, and other maritime agencies have participated in ‘Sea Vigil-21’.
