Bindu Sagar Lake Cleaning Project

Current Context: The Government of Odisha launched the Bindu Sagar Lake Cleaning Project.

• The state government launched this project jointly with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, GOI.
• The Bindu Sagar Lake Cleaning Project is basically a CSR initiative of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) in partnership with Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and Indian Oil Campus, Bhubaneswar.
• For this project, IOCL will be spending Rs 70 lakh to clean the Bindu Sagar lake and thus to maintain the heritage site of the state.
• The patent world-class innovative technology of ICT will be used to conduct cleaning activities at the lake.
