agreement is basically signed to fund two major projects of the state.
- The total loan agreement signed between the entities is of USD 646 million. Each project costs USD 323 million.
- The main moto of the projects is to improve transport efficiency, road safety, mobility and offer connectivity to socioeconomic centres.
- Project (1) Andhra Pradesh Roads and Bridge Reconstruction: This project includes widening of 1600 km of highways of the state. This will offer a double lane structure to the highways. The project also includes reconstructing of dilapidated bridges.
- Project (2) Andhra Pradesh Mandal Connectivity and Rural Connectivity Improvement: This project includes widening 1,400 km of district roads to have the double lane facility and to reconstruct dilapidated bridges of district roads.
