Krishi Sakha App—Bharti AXA General Insurance

Current Context: The Bharti AXA General Insurance has launched the Krishi Sakha App for Indian farmers.

• The app will help farmers to get updated with daily farming needs.
• The app will provide farmers with the proper guidance of best farming techniques which they can adopt in their farms and thus increase yields.
• The farmers can also have an access to Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) scheme through this app. Various other schemes related to the welfare of the farmers are also described in the app.
• The Krishi Sakha App will also deliver notifications to the farmers about the weather and climatic conditions. The farmers will also be provided with information related to scientific farming techniques. Various other advices like market price of the crop, land unit conversion, crop calendar and data about forthcoming Agri events etc. are also provided by the app.
