Current Context: The Government of Karnataka has flagged off 40 Krishi Sanjeevani Vans to test the quality of soil, water for farming purpose.

  • It was flagged off in Bengaluru. 
  • The Krishi Sanjeevani Vans will also suggest remedies for pest control in order to improve the productivity of farms.
  • These vans are launched by Agriculture Department of the state in partnership with central assistance under National Krishi Vikas Yojana.
  • Upon analyzing the quality of soil, the Agri department will suggest a solution to the farmer community.
