MeitY Partnered with Amazon Web Services

Current Context: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has entered into a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• They have partnered to establish Quantum Computing Applications Lab in India. 
• This Quantum Computing Applications Lab will be the first in the world to support the nation’s government missions.
• Under this partnership, AWS will be providing hosting, technical and programmatic support to the researchers.
• The lab will allow researchers, scientist and experts access to Amazon’s Bracket cloud-based quantum computing service.
• The Quantum Computing Applications Lab will provide acceleration to quantum computing-based research and development and will also enhance research activities in the quantum computing sector.
