- The MoU was approved between India’s Ministry of Earth Sciences and UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology.
- Because of this MoU, both the countries will be able to share data, knowledge and operational products for seismological, meteorological, and oceanic services such as satellite, radar, seismic, tide gauges, and meteorological stations.
- MoU will also allow the exchange of visits by experts and scientists between India and UAE to carry out research activities.
- Both the countries will also conduct workshops, training, seminars and conferences in the field of meteorology.
- Both India and UAE will develop expert capacities of the Tsunami Model researchers in order to have high reliability and fast forecasting of Tsunamis which propagates through Arabian and Oman Sea.
