First India-European Union High-Level Dialogue

Current Context: The first High-Level Dialogue between India and the European Union was held.

• The Indian delegation was represented by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal.
• And EU’s delegation was represented by European Union Executive Vice-President & Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis.
• The dialogue was meant to follow the commitment which was made by both India and EU at the 15th India-EU Leader’s Summit held in July 2020.
• They held the discussion to strengthen the bilateral trade and investment through partnerships in various domains.
• They also assured to conduct India-EU Multilateral Dialogue in order to boost trade & investment cooperation between them.
