Current Context: The valedictory function of the India Australia Circular Economy Hackathon (I-ACE) was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video-conference.
India-Australia Circular Economy Hackathon (I-ACE)
  • The I-ACE was organised by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, India and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia.
  • The hackathon observed the participation of more 200 participants in 39 teams from India and 33 teams from Australia.
  • Themes for I-ACE 2021: (a) Innovation in packaging reducing packaging waste (b)Innovation in food supply chains avoiding waste (c) Creating opportunities for plastic waste reduction (d) Recycling critical energy metals and e-waste
  • The objective of I-ACE is to allow students and startups/MSMEs of both nations to suggest and develop innovative solutions to develop the circular economy across the food system value chain. The innovative solutions will help to enhance the long-term health of our planet and thus develop a sustainable future.
