IWAI signed MoU with MOL (Asia Oceania) Pte. Ltd

Current Context: The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) signed MoU with MOL (Asia Oceania) Pte Ltd.

• The MoU is signed for having transportation of LPG through barges on National Waterways-1 and National Waterways-2.
• Under this MoU, the MOL will perform investment for constructing and operating dedicated LPG barges.
• The Aegies Group will invest to construct storage terminals, pipelines and other necessary infrastructure.
• The IWAI will provide an adequate fairway and will manage LPG Cargo on IWAI terminals or multimodal terminal at Haldia, Sahubganj and Varanasi.
