National Fellowship (MGNF) programme.
- The programme was rolled out by Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Mahendra Nath Pandey.
- The fellowship programme was rolled out during the event of 'Transforming skilling through strategic partnerships under SANKALP'.
- The MGNF programme is government-funded and is having a period of 2 years.
- The programme is launched under SANKALP (Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion), which is loan assisted by World Bank.
- The fellowship programme will impart on-ground practical experience to the beneficiaries.
- The beneficiaries will be provided with academic expertise and technical solutions which will develop their skills and will help them to manage the skill development planning at the district level.
- At the initial stage of the programme, the beneficiaries will be given training by the top 9 IIMs and after that, they will be allowed to work to strengthen District Skill Committees and the District Skill administration.
