Current Context: Applied Materials India has signed a Research and Development (R&D) pact with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.

  • The R&D pact is part of the Industry Affiliate Program of the Centre for Nanoscience and Engineering (CeNSE). The CeNSE conducts cutting-edge research and technological innovations and incorporates them with partners to develop commercial products and services.
  • Both the entities in partnership with CeNSE will work jointly to develop new applications and solutions in the advanced materials field.
  • They will work to develop advanced infrastructure which will be used to find solutions from ‘lab to fab’ and will grant an advanced approach to semiconductor technologies.
