Current Context: The ‘Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Centre’ was inaugurated at Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh.

• It was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge) Prahlad Singh Patel.
• The ‘Maharaja Chhatrasal Convention Centre’ is built under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Ministry of Tourism, which has thus added a feature to the UNESCO World Heritage site at Khajuraho.
• The centre will host various conferences and meetings.
• It is equipped with modern infrastructure and modern amenities. The convention hall is 14880 sqft of area.
