Current Context: The government of Jharkhand launched SAAMAR Campaign.

SAAMAR Campaign

The campaign is launched to tackle malnutrition in the state.
The SAAMAR signifies ‘Strategic Action for Alleviation of Malnutrition and Anemia Reduction.’
The campaign is launched with the target of 1000 days, during which annual surveys will be conducted to track the progress.
Under this campaign, various departments will come together to identify anaemic women and malnourished children of the state. The campaign will also identify the anaemia and malnutrition in the tribal community of the state.
