5th Global Forum on TB Vaccines

Current Context: The 5th Global Forum on TB Vaccines was held from 20th to 22nd April 2021 in a virtual manner.

• The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Harsh Vardhan addressed the forum.
• The forum was organised by Stop TB Partnership Working Group on New Vaccines in association with International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) and Tuberculosis Vaccine Initiative (TBVI).
• The forum was organised to enhance the process of Tuberculosis (TB) Vaccination in the pandemic situation of COVID-19.
• The forum was basically one of the largest meetings of stakeholders who are working to develop and deploy new vaccines to prevent TB.
