Flipkart partnered with Adani Group

Current Context: India’s e-commerce platform Flipkart partnered with infrastructure firm Adani Group to set up a data centre in Chennai and a large fulfilment centre in Kalyan, near Mumbai.

• For this purpose, Flipkart will be jointly working with Adani Logistics Ltd, which is the subsidiary of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ).
• Under this partnership, Adani Logistics will construct a 534,000 sq. ft fulfilment centre (FC) at its logistics hub in NRC Complex at Mohone-Thane in Kalyan. This FC will be utilised by Flipkart to meet its increasing demand in western India and support access to the sellers.
• Also, they will set up a data centre at the Chennai facility of AdaniConneX Pvt. Ltd. The data centre will meet infrastructure needs and will grant data security.
