  • Google has announced to provide 18 million USD (Rs 135 crores) to India. Microsoft will be helping India through relief efforts to purchase oxygen concentration devices.
  • The grants from Google will be particularly provided to UNICEF and the non-profit Give India.
  • Through Give India, Google aims to provide financial support to those families who suffered from the pandemic.
  • The grants offered to UNICEF will help to arrange the medical equipment for India.
  • Apart from these grants, around 900 Googlers will be providing funds of Rs 3.7 crore to India to tackle the rising pandemic cases.
